The Pearl Andelson Sherry Memorial Poetry Reading and Lecture

The Pearl Andelson Sherry Memorial Poetry Reading and Lecture honor the life and work of former University of Chicago student, Pearl Andelson Sherry. The Sherry series aims to bring poets of international stature. We find this series invaluable to our student poets in that they can gain access to a great thinker and pioneer in the field. We ask the visiting poet to give a public reading from their work, a public lecture on a topic of their choosing, and to participate in a student-focused event in the form of individual meetings, a seminar, a workshop, or a structure based on their interest.
