Synopsis

I’m obsessed with writing that attempts to navigate memory and identity. As humans, we are always telling ourselves stories about what happened, why it happened, and how these events and actions reconcile with our sense of self. I’m drawn to quiet stories and small acts of perseverance, those moments that stack up year after year to become a life.

Work with Students

I strive to help students’ writing succeed on its own terms, regardless of genre. That said, the strength of my expertise lies in lyrical prose and narrative movement divorced from traditional plot. I also strive to help students network and professionalize within the field of literary writing.
